Two Co-Hosts of The View Get Married

You may know Joy Behar from her roles as talk show host on The View and The Joy Behar Show on HLN. If you know her, you know she has sworn off marriage in the past, and she even broke an engagement to long-time boyfriend, Steve Janowitz, in 2009.

In a secret, surprise ceremony on Thursday night in New York City, Behar entered into holy matrimony with Janowitz after dating for 29 years. The ceremony took place at night, and was incredibly private. Her representative has told various news outlets that she will not discuss the wedding until September 6, when she returns to The View. The date of her wedding - August 11 - is also shared with the 14th anniversary of The View and is just days before her co-host, Sherri Shepherd's wedding in Chicago.

Shepherd's wedding was far from private and sudden. This Saturday, her and her fiancé, Lamar Sally, were married in Shepherd's hometown of Chicago since becoming engaged in December. According to Shepherd's Twitter feed, she was tweeting until she walked down the aisle. Her followers followed every detail of her wedding with glee. She tweeted about everything from her post-matrimonial boredom to the woes of figuring out how to use the bathroom in her wedding dress. Lucky for her, she was joined by some all-star bridesmaids, including two comediennes Yvette Nicole Brown and Niecy Nash, as well as The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Instead of wedding gifts, the couple asked for donations to be made to Hales Franciscan High School and Embrace.
