You would also be surprised to know that originally, gnocchi was not served with potatoes. There are so many varieties of gnocchi that are now available like gnocchi with chicken, spinach gnocchi, bread crumbs gnocchi, mushroom gnocchi and gnocchi in Gorgonzola sauce.
