Petite Maxi Dress


Not so long ago, the long maxi dress began hitting the style scene, replacing its counterpart, the short mini dress. While mini dresses are still trendy, maxi dresses have stolen the scene. These dresses are long and flowing, ending not above the knee like a mini, but at the ankle. Everyone, from models to celebrities to socialites, was getting their picture snapped in these gypsy styled dresses.

The real world problem with the maxi dress was the fact that while many petite women adore these dresses, they steered clear of them. This was due to the fact that as most petite women know, their entire bodies can be effectively swallowed up by such a long flowing dress. Not to mention, they would have to get them tailored at the bottom to bring up the hem so they wouldn't drag the dress along the ground. Thankfully, not long after this long dress trend became hugely popular, clothing companies began making the petite maxi dress
