Autopsy Planned in Billy Mays Death

World-renowned pitch man Billy Mays was found dead in his Florida home on Sunday morning and investigators are trying to determine the cause of death.
There doesn't appear to be any evidence of foul play in the death of Oxi-clean pitchman Billy Mays. But he was complaining that he didn't feel well before going to bed on Saturday night and had also been involved in a rough airplane landing that may have resulted in a head injury. The otherwise healthy and active Mays was 50 years old.

His wife and other family members have not indicated that there was any problem with Mays' health and police and investigators are looking into possible causes. The family has ordered an autopsy to be performed in the hopes that some light can be shed on what killed him.

Mays was on board a U.S. Airways flight that landed earlier on Friday in Tampa. The flight blew its tires upon landing and the landing was extremely rough, causing Mays to receive a blow to the head that he complained about after the fact. Mays was jovial when recounting the incident for a local news station and in writing about it online.

Details are still sketchy as to the time of death and how Mays was found at home by his wife. He was scheduled to have hip replacement surgery in the coming days, but there is no indication that he was taking any medications or that the need for hip replacement would have been a factor in his death.

Instead, the focus at this point will be on trying to determine why he died and whether or not the head injury from the flight played any role.
