Heidi Montag's Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan, Dies in Car Crash

Prominent celebrity plastic surgeon and physician Frank Ryan died when his Jeep drove off the side of the Pacific Coast Highway.
Dr. Frank Ryan was already a major fixture in Hollywood before Heidi Montag came along and vaulted him into the consciousness of the American public. Dr. Ryan drew the criticism of many when it was revealed that he performed 10 separate plastic surgery procedures on Heidi Montag in the same day. Judging from how different Montag looks now, it's hard to say whether or not such a large amount of work was beneficial to the young reality starlet.

Dr. Ryan was found dead in his Jeep Wrangler after it fell off the Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu and landed on its roof. There is no word at this time if there were other vehicles involved or if there is any suspicion of alcohol contributing to the car crash. Dr. Ryan was 50 years old.

Dr. Frank Ryan appears to have been much more than simply a plastic surgeon to the stars. He also started a foundation that provided free tattoo removal for gang related tattoos and was held in high esteem by his patients.

Heidi went directly to her Twitter account to explain to the world just what Dr. Ryan meant to her. To avoid the possibility of diluting Heidi's message by paraphrasing it, I've included it verbatim here:

"I am devastated," Heidi Tweeted. "He was the most amazing person I have ever known. He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met. He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world."
