Final Episodes of Ryan Dunn's Show, Proving Ground, Will Air

In the aftermath of Ryan Dunn's tragic death on June 20th, G4 was unsure about whether or not to air the final 8 episodes of the series. At the time of Dunn's death, only a couple episodes had been aired and G4 halted the broadcasts while it determined the best course of action. Now the network has announced that the final 8 episodes are going to air and that they will kick off following a special tribute episode of Attack of the Show, set to air on July 19.

The president of the G4 network, Neal Tiles, issued the following statement on the decision to air the rest of the Proving Ground episodes: "It was important to all of us at G4 to find a way to celebrate his life and pay tribute to him. With the support of Ryan’s family, we’ve decided to air the remaining episodes of ‘G4’s Proving Ground’ and give his fans the opportunity to continue watching this series that he was so passionate about."

Friends and family are still trying to work through the devastating loss of Dunn at such a young age and under such senseless circumstances. Jackass co-star Johnny Knoxville published a blog post about his struggles to come to terms with Dunn's passing. In, he said, "I felt 34-percent funnier when I was with Ryan, but I guess everyone did. He had such a hair trigger laugh reflex. He lived his life wanting to laugh and wanting you to laugh with him."

Proving Ground is a reality show that follows the same formula as Mythbusters, but focuses more on stunts performed in movies, television and video games. As of the writing of this article, the page for Proving Ground at the G4 website is not active and instead there is a brief note memorializing Dunn and his contribution to the network.
